Description:
UNAPIEI of Lebanon was started in 1991. The main goals are:
- To coordinate the services for people with intellectual disability and their families
- to organize mass media campaigns to raise social awareness
- To organize Seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings to promote the quality of services in all domains.
- To act as a pressure group towards implementation of Inclusive Education, in all schools specially the public schools.
- to organize exchange of expertise among each others
- to empower the families and support them to establish network among them
- to conduct gidence and orientation services for selfadvocates
- to organize common sport, and art exhibitions
- to provide gidences towards the Rights of people with disability and their families.
- to participate in the local regional and international events related to the rights of people with disabilities and their families
- to conducts studies, researches and survays related to employment, housing, and social inclusion for people with disabilities and their families
