Mia Farah
My name is Mia Farah and I have recently been elected to be a Council member at the GA of II in Mexico. I am from Lebanon and I represent the Middle East, a region I know still has a lot of work to do on Inclusion. Though I am new on the Council, and in Inclusion International, I am dedicated to making a change in my country and in the area, in order to provide people with disabilities a chance to truly be a part of society.

I was born with Down Syndrome, and from the beginning, I have experienced what it means to be rejected by society. Thanks to the hard work of my parents, I have managed to stay outside of institutions for my life, though I know many people around me who have never left them.

My hope is to introduce inclusion into the society in the Middle East, so that my friends can have the chance that I did, and we can all be able to live our lives and make our decisions in our countries.
