Our Priority AreasSelf-advocacySelf-Advocacy is the right to speak for oneself, to advocate for ones own needs and the right to make decision about your own life. Inclusion International supports opportunities for people who have been labeled to come together at the International level to identify issues and priorities that should guide the organizations work as well as participate in international lobbying and advocacy activities. Inclusion International's Council includes self-advocates along side of families and as a result there is a clear priority given to the voices of people who advocate on their own behalf. This section reports on the initiatives and issues facing self-advocates, and draws on the personal experiences of people with disabilities and their families to gain insight and add a human dimension to disability and inclusive issues.
