2008 Global Forum for Inclusion’s International Gathering of Families

[Last updated Wednesday, September 3, 2008]

Families play a unique role in the lives of persons with intellectual disabilities by providing lifelong support and relationships. They are often a bridge in realizing the rights and full inclusion of their family member with a disability. Further, families have often acted as change agents in making their communities and countries more inclusive.

The Canadian Association for Community Living and Inclusion International invite you to attend

2008 Global Forum for Inclusion’s International Gathering of Families
November 17 and 18, 2008 at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa

Join CACL and Inclusion International and families from around the world at our International Gathering of families to talk about the new UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and what it means to families, and to share lessons learned about families organizing for change, building mutual support networks, informing government policies and making inclusion a reality.
