[Last updated Thursday, August 10, 2006]

ÉFOÉSZ  is very interested in guardianship systems and supported decision making. At the present time they are working on this subject solidly because the Hungarian civil law will be changed in a few years time. They also would like to organize conference(s) concerning this topic.

ÉFOÉSZ has already sent this document to the government who has forwarded it to Dr Gyorgy Konczei, theHungarian representative in New York who found out position paper well elaborated and good in content.

They also managed to convince the Government to put the principle of supported decision making in the National Disability program for 2007-2013, which is very important for the future of people with intellectual disability.

This document has been elaborated by Sandor Gurbai, Legal adviser for ÉFOÉSZ . click here to read it.
