Zdenak Petrovic represented II at the IDA meeting on the Convention that took place in Geneva.

on Hello my name is Zdenka Petroviæ I'm the President of Assosciation for Self Advocacy from Zagreb, Croatia.
Together with Mrs. Diane Richler I was represent Inclusion International and EPSA at IDA meetings.
Mrs. Richler is President of Inclusion International. She usually represents Inclusion International at IDA meetings.
For me this is first time to attend one IDA meeting.
IDA is short word for International Disability Alliance
IDA is network of 8 Disability People organizations.
IDA gathers different people with different disabilities.
It gathers:
• People with intellectual disabilities
• Hard of hearing people
• Blind people
• Deaf blind people
• People with mental disabilities
• People with long-term physical disabilities
IDA organized several meetings in Geneva, Switzerland this Semptember.
Those meetings were very important for us. On every of these meeting participants spoke about new UN Convention on the rights of the Persons with Disabilities.
IDA as organization had a big role in creating of new UN Convention.
We had meetings with some very important persons.
We met Dr. Margareth Chan, she is the Director General of World Health Organization. World Health Organization is one of agencies of United Nations who take care of peoples health.
I told to her that people with intellectual disabilities have great expectation from the Convention. I also introduced her with the big problem of deprivation of legal capacity of people with intellectual disabilities. I told that many people with intellectual disabilities who are deprived of legal capacity do not have many human rights as other people.
