ProjectsREGIONAL INITIATIVES[Last updated Friday, April 11, 2008] AFRICA SUPPORTING SELF-ADVOCACY The African Network for Developmental Disabilities, ANDD has Self Advocacy as a prioritized area. In cooperation with ANDD and NFU– Norway, Inclusion International has given some of its member organizations the opportunity to conduct workshops for Self Advocates in Africa. Workshops in the following Countries: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Uganda, Namibia and Swaziland,South Africa, Kenya and (Tanzania/Zanzibar). James Mung'omba and Quincy Mwiya, Council member of II, will assist National Member Organizations to organize and conduct self-advocacy sessions.The aim of this initiative is to provide support to the African organizations efforts to further develop the work related to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and to support self-advocacy.
